A Memorable Night
at Monas
Once, I went to Monas with my
family and close neighbors to attend a torch event. I think it was around
2018. The place was extremely crowded and beautifully lit with colorful lights.
At first, my mom didn’t come
along because she was feeling sick and tired after attending a wedding the day
before. So, I went without her. Everything went smoothly at first, and everyone
was happy. While we were on the train, my mom texted me saying she would come
after all because she had a bad feeling.
When we arrived, before the show
started, we sat quite close to the Monas monument. We chatted and ate together.
Then my mom arrived and joined us for the meal. Not long after, the show began.
During the performance, one of
my neighbor’s kids, who was about the same age as me, walked away from the
group to get closer to Monas for a better view. I saw him alone and decided to
follow him. I thought the others were coming too, but it turned out only one
neighbor followed me.
Unfortunately, we got separated
from the group. Our phones had no signal, and we couldn’t contact anyone. We
searched for our group for hours and finally reunited at the exit gate. My mom
said she was so panicked that she suddenly felt better from her sickness. In
the end, instead of watching the show, we spent the night searching for lost
people.
